Attention All High School Graduate Seniors: You Can Be The Next Greatest Athlete or Doctor!!!

The Henry Armstrong Foundation is offering two scholarships in the Athletic and Medical field to High School Graduate Seniors (Class of 2024).

In honor of Historical Boxing legend Henry Armstrong who graduated with honors, valedictorian class of 1928 at Vashon High in St. Louis, but was denied a Scholarship due to his race.

 The award amounts of the scholarships are $1,000.00 each. The Scholarships are to assist with the cost of application, tuition and book fees for financially needy students.

Scholarship Essay Topic

We are asking Students to describe themselves and their Goals with a minimum number of 600 words or more.

Scholarship Essay Contest Guidelines

ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIP

(All Sports)

1. Minimum GPA 2.5

2. Must have gained acceptance into the school of your choice.

3. All applications must be received by June 30, 2024

4. One letter of recommendation from your

Teacher, Coach or Clergy.

5. The recipients will be chosen by the Board of  Directors.

6. One page essay - describing yourself and your goals.

7. The awarded recipients will be notified in writing by AUGUST 31, 2024

8. You must be a U. S. citizen to apply.

     MEDICAL SCHOLARSHIP (All Medical Professions)

1. Minimum GPA 2.5

2. Must have gained acceptance into the school of your choice

3. All applications must be received by June 29, 2024

4. One letter of recommendation from your

Teacher or Clergy.

5. The recipients will be chosen by the Board of Directors.

6. One page essay - describing yourself and your goals.

7. The awarded recipients will be notified in writing by August 31, 2024

8. You must be a U. S. citizen to apply.

Winners of Henry Armstrong Foundation Inc., Scholarship Essay Contest will be notified via email no later than August 31, 2024.
